OUR SPRING SESSION STARTS APRIL 5, 2023!

SpRING Session
Wednesday APRIL 5 – June 14, 2023

Our spring session starts on Wednesday, April 5 and runs through Wednesday, June 14, 2023. Classes meet weekly on Wednesdays from 5:30pm – 7pm. Our spring concert performance will be on Saturday June 17 at the Cambridge Public Library. We kindly request that members join with the intent to perform as it can impact the growth of the ensemble, overall, to be missing members during a scheduled performance.

Rehearsal Dates:

April: 5, 12, 19, 26

May: 3, 10, 17, 24

June: 7, 14

Spring Performance Information:

Location: Cambridge Public Library (449 Broadway St, Cambridge, MA)

Call Time: 2pm

Performance Time: 3pm – 4pm

Who can join?
This group is open to children in grades 2 – 12. We are an inclusive and welcoming community. No prior musical experience is necessary and beginners are encouraged to join and try something new!

Where do the rehearsals take place?
All of our rehearsals take place in the Endicott World Music Room at MIT (N52-199), which is on the first floor of MIT Building N52 at 265 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, MA. For reference, the entrance to this building is two doors to the right of the main entrance to the old MIT Museum. Performances will take place at other locations as indicated.


How much will this cost?
Total session costs vary throughout the year depending on the length of each session. Please see the fee details on the respective Eventbrite page for each session.

Is financial aid available?
Yes! Part of are goal as a community ensemble is to make sure our program is accessible and affordable to all families regardless of income. To apply for financial aid or to learn more, email cambridgeyouthgamelan@gmail.com

How do I join?
Registration information for the fall, winter, spring, and summer sessions is typically announced several months in advance so you are able to plan your child’s after school commitments as early as possible. You will always receive an email from us with information on how to register but you can always check back here regularly to find out information about upcoming rehearsals, performances, and workshops.
